About E Conspectu
I've heard some critics say that E Conspectu tries too hard to be original. Maybe it is hard to relate to at first, but at least it doesn't get stuck in my head when I haven't had enough sleep. In fact, the more I listen to it, the more I enjoy playing it back mentally.
While their first album, Sweetness the Love Bomb, leans on classic themes of relationships, temptations, and the search for identity, it also has a "ballad of the band" in "Ace," and a gastronomic complaint ("Brain Is Good") to keep things explosive.
As I have had the opportunity to listen to select prerelease cuts, I can tell you that the band's forthcoming album, Grout Instant, comprises a interweaving story of various characters who interact in a refreshingly rural zone, shedding unusual forms of light on the stuff we all do in this crazy life. One of the most vivid characters is an unripe tomato. Another is an occasionally insane vintner (guy who makes wine). You will hear many sounds you've never heard before, but what could be more appropriate? Life is most wonderful when it's unfamiliar.
E Conspectu doesn't break rules so much as invent new rules for new situations. I hope you'll enjoy E Conspectu's inimitability, because you're inimitable too.
